What’s new

ROM2Box V3.4 has been recently updated with several noteworthy enhancements and improvements. One of the most prominent changes is the resolution of a bug that was causing certain problems during smartphone repairs. Moreover, this update has also introduced preliminary support for resetting and bypassing FRP on Tecno/Infinix helio G99 devices.

Rom2Box Features

To Read MTK Firmware, there are two options: using the flash.bin or the Partition option. Follow the steps below:

1. Connect your phone in VCOM/BROM mode.
2. Go to Mediatek/Firmware reader and click on your desired option. Note that flash.bin takes a long time to read the user data partition, whereas the Partition option does not read user data and takes only 15 minutes.
3. For UFS devices, use the “send xml” option included in the New section, as the option displayed in the older section may not work on some devices. If you don’t have an XML, read the gpt and parse it. Remember to read qcn from qcom/other before doing anything.
4. The user data partition will be skipped as it takes a long time. However, you can manually read partitions with numbers like keymaster1. Go to ROM2box/qcom and edit the part table file to add all partitions that contain a number from the parttablex file. Once done, run read.exe for emmc and readu.exe for UFS. Make sure you have read the full firmware via ROM2box before using this process.

For MI Account bypass:

1. Go to Xiaomi and select your device.
2. Connect your phone to the computer (short test point) and wait for device detection.
3. Once the COM port is detected, click “bypass MI account/persist.”

For QCOM FRP bypass:

1. Go to QCOM and select Firehose.
2. Connect your phone to the computer (short test point) and wait for device detection.
3. Once the COM port is detected, click “bypass FRP.”

For QCOM Pattern bypass:

1. Go to QCOM and select Firehose.
2. Connect your phone to the computer (short test point) and wait for device detection.
3. Once the COM port is detected, click “Reset/user lock bypass.”

For Vivo Pattern bypass:

1. Go to Vivo and select your device.
2. Connect your phone to the computer (short test point) and wait for device detection.
3. Once the COM port is detected, click “Reset/user lock bypass.”

For Oppo Pattern bypass:

1. Go to Oppo and select your device.
2. Connect your phone to the computer (short test point) and wait for device detection.
3. Once the COM port is detected, click “Reset/user lock bypass.”

For Huawei ID bypass:

1. Go to Huawei and select your device.
2. Connect your phone to the computer (short test point) and wait for device detection.
3. Once the COM port is detected, click “ID bypass.” Note that this is experimental and may not work on many models.

For unsupported QCOM devices testing with No Auth Firehose:

1. Go to QCOM/Experiment tab and select a suitable programmer (more than 450+ patched firehose added).
2. Connect your phone to the computer (short test point) and wait for device detection.
3. Once the COM port is detected, run the function you want.

For MTK Disable Auth:

1. Go to Mediatek/main tab and mark “disable auth.”
2. Click the “start” button.

For Mediatek unlock bootloader:

1. Go to Mediatek/service/bootloader unlock.

For QCOM Disable Auth:

All included devices are pre-patched.

For Flash QCOM Firmware:

1. Go to qcom/firmware flasher.
2. Load the XML and programmer files from the firmware folder.
3. Connect your phone in edl mode.
4. Once the device is detected, click the “start” button.
