Sp Flash Tool is an application that mainly helps you to flash or install the Scatter Based Stock Firmware (ROM) on devices powered by MediaTek Chipsets, whether a smartphone, Tablet or feature Phone. It also allows you to flash or install the Custom Recovery (CWM/TWRP), Boot File, and fixing in some extreme cases ( firmware update, Flash recovery, unbrick bricked Android device, etc). and remove Factory Reset Protection (FRP) from the Mediatek Devices.SmartPhone FlashTool is working with All MediaTek Android smartphones (MTK based) You can Download SPFlashTool from our downloading section. SP Flash Tool Main Functions
- MTK Flash tool/ Flash MTK Stock ROM:
It allows you to flash scatter-based firmware on any Mediatek aka MTK android device. It also allows you to downgrade or upgrade your device firmware in a few clicks.
- Flash Recovery:
It allows you to flash custom recovery to your MTK-based device. Simply, add the scatter file in the SP Flash tool and locate the recovery.img image and flash it.
- Memory Test:
It allows users to check and verify the RAM on external memory and the NAND Flash on the device.
- Format memory:

How to manually install MediaTek USB VCOM drivers
This is how to install MT65xx drivers for your windows PC. You need to install drivers in order to connect your smartphone properly
- Download MediaTek USB VCOM drivers
- Driver Auto Installer v1.1236.00
How to Flash using SP Flash Tool
- Download and install MediaTek Driver Autoinstaller on your computer (if Mediatek Driver is already installed, then SKIP it).
- Download the STOCK ROM (Firmware of Your Phone) and extract it on your computer (you can find Stock ROM on A2Gsm or through Google Search).
- Download and Extract SP Flash Tool on your computer. Once the Tool is extracted Successfully, you will be able to see the following files:
- Open flsh_tool.exe to launch the tool.
- Once SP Flash Tool is launched, Click on the Scatter Loading Button.
- Locate and Select the Scatter File (YOu can find the scatter file in the Stock ROM of your device and click on the Open Button.
- Untick the Preloader option (flashing the preloader.bin can brick the device). Choose accordingly depending on your requirement.
- Click on the Download button to Begin the Flashing Process.
- Connect your Mediatek Device to the computer using the USB cable(make sure it is Power Off Already). After Connecting the Device to the computer Press Volume Down or Volume Up or Both Volume Up & Down Key, so that Smartphone Flash Tool can detect this device
- Once the Computer detects your Device, the Flashing Process will Start Automatically (YOu will be able to see Yellow Line).
- Once Flashing is completed, a Green Circle with Check Sign will Appear at the End.
- Now Disconnect the Device and Close the Flash Tool.
- Congrats you have successfully flashed or installed Stock ROM on your MediaTek Android smartphones with SP Flash Tool.
Note: Flashing or installing Stock ROM (Firmware) using the SP Flash Tool will Wipe/Delete the User data Such as Photos, Videos, Contacts, Etc. Therefore, We Recommend you take a backup of your Data before using any operation on the tool.
